Plugs

Cut plugs have been around for years and were modeled off a Herring rig in which the poor Herring's head was "cut off." They are highly effective all season long, especially on Salmon. Many anglers view plugs as late season offerings, but it is not always the case. Smaller plugs can be effective all season, where as bigger plugs are more effective later in the year.

One benefit to fishing Plugs is they are very speed tolerant, and they will produce at slow to fast trolls. Additionally, they fish well with other combinations and often compliment a spoon or dogder/fly program.
